Ice cave concert

Ice cave consert
Thursday evening the Solfest committee invited the town for an ice cave concert. Nearly 30 snowmobiles headed for the Brøgger glacier. Under a dark night colored by Aurora, we gathered on the glacier.
Soon after the whole crowd disappeared into a hole in the snow. A ladder led down to the melt water channel. After a short walk in the tunnel a cave revealed itself. This was the site for the big happening; a one minute concert featuring Ny-Ålesund slag og blæs! When the one minute noise was over, we were served hot chocolate and delicious cake. Then it was time to crawl back up to the surface and we could all head home refreshed by a special event.
