Sist fredag var det Girl Gathering på Brandal nordvest for Ny-Ålesund. Jentene kom i flokk og følge. De fleste dro på sykkel og så til fots, mens noen kom i kajakk og atter andre på ski. 24 piker var samlet til festlig lag med grilling, gitarspill og sang. Gutta lot seg tydelig lokke av tonene, og snart lå Nordflåten på svai og drønnet med kanonene. Da ble det for mye for lille Lomi, som tok halen mellom beina og sprang hjem. De andre jentene kikket litt lengselsfullt ut på gutta da to av dem viste sine kunstner med stup ut i badetemperaturer under 1,5 grad. Men da gutta ville i land, ble de jaget med snøballkanoner og harde fraspark. Flåten
måtte slukøret sette kurs mot annet land og fortsette festen uten fagre møyer. Men både piker og gutter fikk nok ei fin natt uansett!
Girl Gathering
Last weekend there was a girl gathering at Brandal northwest of Ny-Ålesund. 24 ladies approached the cabin by bikes, boat, kayaks, foot and skis. Barbeque, guitar playing and singing made the boys come along with their Northern fleet. But their noisy canons made the female dog run all the way home. The other girls enjoyed the sight of boys jumping into a fiord with less than 1.5 Celsius. But when the boys tried to approach t
he beach, they were chased away by canonball snowballs. Later on the fleet had to continue into the missing sunset, while the girls headed on wi
th drinks and joy. I think everybody had a great evening... ;-)
