Gutter med utrolig flaks!

Les om to gutter med utrolig flaks! To gutter på padletur rundt Svalbard hadde kommet seg halvveis rundt Nord-Austlandet. I går ble de vekt av isbjørnangrep - inne i teltet! Mens den ene gutten ble dratt ut av teltet og 40 meter bortover stranden, fikk den andre tak i hagla. Den var brukket, så han måtte fram med rifla og løpe etter kompisen som forsvant bortover stranda - i isbjørnkjeften! Heldigvis klarte makkeren å komme nær nok til å avlive bamsen uten fare for kompisens liv. Og utrolig nok hadde offeret relativt små skader. De ble begge hentet med Sysselmannens helikopter og begge er i god behold. Snakk og flaks - og snarrådighet... Les mer på linkene under:

Incredibly luck!

Yesterday two kayakers were attacked by a polar bear. They kayakers wanted to become the first ones to padle around the island group of Svalbard. They were at Nordaustlandet when the accident happened. They woke up by a polar bear attack - in the tent! The polar bear grabbed one of them and pulled him out of the beach. The other boy grabbed the shot gun - but it was broken! He then found the rifle and ran after the polar bear. When he was close enough, he managed to kill the polar bear without injuring his friend. The victim was luckily still alive - and had moderate injuries. It strikes me - how little can the injures be when you are stuck in the teeth of a polar bear that can kill a huge seal in seconds? Within two hours Sysselmannen came by helicopter and picked up the two boys. The hurt one has gone through a sugery at Longyearbyen hospital. They are both fine concidering the circumstances. What a good luck story - and quick thinking young man!
